Services Set for Crossing Guard (R News)
The woman known as grandma to so many Rochester City School kids will be laid to rest next week. Arlene Page, 58, died Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in a hit and run crash at the intersection of Dewey Avenue and Bloss Street.

TV News Leaders Speak at RIT (R News)
Some of the industry leaders in television news were in Rochester Saturday for a National Press Photographers Association event at RIT. This was the first time in eight years that NPPA brought its self-titled "Airborne" event to Rochester.

Community Hosts Lead Testing Event (R News)
It's become a big safety concern for parents everywhere – lead in toys. There have been several recalls for toys made in China with high amounts of lead. To help protect parents and children here in Rochester, community leaders held a free toy testing event.

Colin Powell Visits the U of R (R News)
Former Army general, National Security Adviser and Secretary of State Colin Powell visited Rochester. Powell received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree during a ceremony as part of the U of R’s Meliora Weekend. University president Joel Seligman praised Powell for his life's work.
