JUNEAU - Barbara M. Walsh of Juneau passed away at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007. She was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Pontiac, Mich., the daughter of Eldred and Alberta Beard. On July 7, 1950, she married Lawrence R. Walsh at St. John's Catholic Church in Clyman.

JUNEAU - Caroline A. Goodenough of Juneau passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at the age of 87 years. She was born in Theresa on March 8, 1920, daughter of Paul and Elsie (Enderle) Zahn. On Nov. 8, 1958, she married Eugene T. Goodenough in Juneau.

Alice L. Baumann, 86, of Watertown, died Thursday afternoon, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Watertown Memorial Hospital, from pneumonia, following a major stroke. She was proud to have survived two courageous bouts with cancer.

Former WCSD superintendent dies at 84 (Whittier Daily News)
The former superintendent for the Whittier City School District, Neal J. Avery, died Saturday at his home in La Habra. He was 84. Avery was superintendent for 16 years before his retirement in 1997. He began his career as a teacher in the late 1950s.
