2,200 to get reprieves on foreclosures (Boston Globe)
Fremont Investment & Loan yesterday agreed to postpone foreclosure proceedings against 2,200 Massachusetts homeowners after state officials determined the lender gave subprime mortgages to borrowers who could not afford the loan payments.

The Colorado Division of Housing now forecasts the number of hoe foreclosures in our state to jump by a whopping 25% in 2007, to 36,000 foreclosures. Last year more than 1,000 families went into foreclosure in Pueblo County and there were more than 2,500 foreclosure cases in El Paso County.

Housing authority to offer ownership at Fish Creek park (The Steamboat Pilot & Today)
Residents of Fish Creek Mobile Home Park could become property owners in a matter of months. The Yampa Valley Housing Authority has announced its intent to use a $954,000 loan from the city to help fund its $3.2 million purchase of the park. Should that purchase close late next month, the Housing Authority would then offer ownership of lots to residents, a Housing Authority official said Monday.
